		<description>Absolutely true.  If you use the timer it has the same effect.  Personally though I like to take several photos of the same thing and it gets annoying to me to have to wait and wait for the timer.  The remote just speeds things up a whole lot.  :-)

Just a quicky. You said for Remote Switch, that is the second best accessory ever for this camera. This is a must have for tripod users. 

I don&#039;t have it and if you don&#039;t need bulb it is not necessary if u use tripod with timer shot...</description>
