Let’s say you’re going out of the country to some strange place where you know you’d have a hard time getting emergency medical treatment. What’s a guy (or gal) to do? Get some specialty insurance of course!
MedjetAssist, of Birmingham, AL, is a company that specializes in medical evacuations and they let you choose which hospital will be your final destination. One year of individual coverage is $205 for an individual or $325 for an entire family. That’s pretty cheap compared with the cost of an emergency helicopter and airfair out of Botswana!
Oh yeah, and they have a great tagline, “Take trips. Not chances.” So true…
