ZillowEver heard the phrase “Google me”? Well, Zillow.com is going to do the same for your house.

If you want to find information about a person, you can simply type their name in Google and see what you come up with. Now for a name like mine (John Pozadzides) that’s pretty simple. But if you’re John Smith, good luck finding the right person.

Zillow.com however, is going to make finding information about your home as simple as possible. Just plug in a street address, and the site attempts to predict the value of the home “…and you don’t have to enter any personal information, and no one will contact you.”

The site will show satellite images of your neighborhood, bring up tax records, and show comparable sales in the area. They currently have data on over 67,000,000 homes, and even if your home isn’t in there yet, it will be soon.

This site is no more the “end all, be all” of home valuations than Kelley Blue Book is the same for cars. But it is mildly amusing, and offers a good starting point for better understanding the value of any piece of real estate.
