This is truly a fantastic video. Set in 1976 Paris, this has to be one of the most irresponsible, flagrant and illegal events in car driving history… and also absolutely one of the coolest!
The driver recklessly speeds around Paris one early morning for almost 9 minutes prompting Ralph Martin, of GQ Magazine, to say
“The car runs sixteen red lights, crosses the median to avoid a bus, nearly plows into a few pedestrians and more than a few pigeons, and drives around a garbage truck on the sidewalk before pulling up in front of Sacre Coeur, with its picture-perfect view of Paris spread out at sunrise. Then, in a sentimental touch, the driver gets out to meet his lady, his rendezvous.”

Here is a nice mash up of it being played in conjuction with Google maps routing the course.

Ahh, yes. “C’etait un Rendezvous” The old fake up. The director HIMSELF drove the car, which was in fact his old Mercedes 300E. When the film was in the can, he dubbed on the soundtrack of a 250GTO.
