robotWhen I was about 13 my dad brought home my first computer, a TI-99/4a.

I remember programming it to run a BASIC program called “Mr. Bojangles” which created a little dancing stick figure. At the time I bet my pop looked at that and thought, “Is this what I wasted my money on?” Little did he know that just over a decade later I would found HTMLHelp.com, one of the earliest Web sites, which now receives over 25 million visitors each year.

Flash forward to today, and there are dads out there bringing home Lego Mindstorm Robotics Invention Systems. Holy crap! If I had one of these when I was a kid the dog would seriously need to run and hide! These things have light sensors, touch sensors, sight sensors and sound sensors. They have arms, legs, wheels and all other manner of gears and motors which allow them to walk and move themselves and other things.

irobotMark my words… in 15 years the next Bill Gates is going to put a seeing, talking, walking, hearing, touching robot in your home. And after he’s become the richest man on earth he is going to activate the secret code and enslave us all.
