According to the US Agricultural Research Service, the average American consumes 74 pounds of added sugar each year.
That’s about 23 teaspoons of added sugars every day–or 460 calories that supply no additional nutrients. To put that in perspective, your average guy would need to do high impact aerobics for a full hour every day just to burn off those calories.
Hey, maybe this is why Harvard School of Public Health recently announced that a single can of soda a day can add up to 15 pounds a year.
So, what’s a guy to do? Well, cut down on the Cokes and junk food and you might just lose that gut your always complaining about!
