Windows "Accessibility" programs do that.

Go to "START >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Accessibility"
There you find the "On-Screen Keyboard" if you have just a mouse.

For the reverse go to the Control Panel and the "Accessibility Options" where you will find, among many other things, the "MouseKeys" under the "Mouse" tab. MouseKeys are for if you have a keyboard and no mouse, it uses the number pad.

One thing that would fit well on this list is a program which makes it easy to use your PC without a mouse, or whatever peripheral might be missing.

I use Opera Mini on my Sprint Samsung phone and the web browsing is hugely improved over the horrible Sprint browser. I never thought of trying the desktop version. Does it cause compatibility issues with some web sites? That has been my main reason for not trying another browser besides IE. It seems some web sites are slow to make changes to improve the functionality of new IE browsers, let alone some less common browsers.

I currently use Picasa, Google Earth (It has some great measuring tools - really accurate!), Skype, Google Tool Bar and Spybot Search & Destroy. I love all of those programs! I'm going to add a few more from this list to my library. Thanks for the list John!

Thanks John for your list. I picked up a few additions to my "comp library". One thing that I will struggle with, at least from the start, is to slow down my usage on Firefox, and try to log more time on Opera. I heard about this browser, but upto now, didn't really feel a need to look into it more. Your glowing endorsement made me reconsider.

Sinha,

I took a look at it, but not sure the value that software brings. After all, you can simply clear the cookies in your browser with the exact same effect and not have to install another application. ;-)

Thanks for the recommendation. I actually did try it after Cali Lewis recommended it, but found that I didn't care for it very much. I mean, I like the thought of a 3D workspace, but I didn't find BumpTop all that usable personally.

*PLEASE TAKE WARNING*

The google web accelerator completely messes with youtube videos.

I spent the longest time trying to figure out why the videos never loaded until I got rid of it and then they worked fine
