Car Part Search Engine
by John P.

Ever had a minor little problem with your car that annoyed you, but wasn’t worth actually taking it in to the shop to fix? Well, you need to get on over to Car-Part.com and search junkyards for replacement/used parts!
This site will actually search for both new and used car parts anywhere in North America and let you know where you can get it, how much it will cost, and even how far away it is from you. The junkyard enters the digital age…

This is a really cool idea, but makes me wonder why someone would be interested to use another platform when big search engines like Google and Yahoo and MSN are already doing a pretty better search for these. Still, I appreciate that it has added functions like showing prices and the location of where to get the specific part. I think more work has to be put on making it more comprehensive to cover not just a specific brand or retailer, so the users will have options. A google mapping function made core to it will also make a really big difference.
