Yep. I ordered a Custom logo last week, and I’m still waiting for it. Guess I’ll have to file a dispute with Paypal because they have drifted beyond their own “4-5 day” turn around.

Hello,

Gotlogos.com guys are cheaters, I ordered for a logo from them two days back with a weekend rush payment (additional 30$) for getting it delivered fast. But even after two days they are not even responding to my emails and not delivering logo at all.

I requested for a refund so that I can go to another designer for getting this done. That also they are not doing.

In case, if you have any contact details of Gotlogos.com , please pass it on to me. It will be a great help.

There is no reason to request a redo on that logo. I think it’s fantastic.

As requested, I’m following up on my previous comment.

So I told the folks at AnswerPond.com to go ahead and order with GotLogos. They took my advice and got this: http://www.AnswerPond.com/images/answerpond_larger_transp.gif .

Not too sure what to think of it. They hired another artist to touch it up a bit to fit their header (as it looks on the AnswerPond.com homepage).

What are your opinions? Should they have GotLogos do a redesign? Guess you can’t expect much for $25.00.

i thought i would share my experience with gotlogos.com. i, like you, figured for $25 based on their samples on their website that it would be worth trying their service. i ordered the $25 gif package and paid through their website. days went by with no contact from gotlogos.com. finally 7 days later i get an email saying they did not receive payment. odd, i paid via paypal during the order process. upon checking, the funds were transfered that day of the order and had been there, verified for seven days. now, i can understand somehow not seeing the payment but why did it take them seven days to send an email? when i mentioned this disappointment and lack of communication they send an email immediately telling me they refunded my money accusing me of being “harsh”. personally, it’s situations like that and yours that remind us you really do get what you pay for. in my case, nothing but them holding my money for 7 days!

GotLogos may indeed do a find job for you. Some of the sample logos they have on their site are great. I have been privately contacted by the owner of the site and he was disappointed that I found my logo less than desireable. But to me there is a world of difference between what I received and the samples on their site.

My feeling at this point is that if you opt for the $25 package you shouldn’t expect much. And I wouldn’t even given them a description of what you want because in my case it seemed to hinder the process.

Personally I don’t think it’s too bad. Based on the request you sent to GotLogos, it seems as if they followed your recommendations quite well. It may not be how you envisioned it, but that’s how you described it (at least in my eyes). You can’t expect too much more for $25.

I am wondering if I should go with GotLogos myself. AnswerPond.com has tasked me with finding a logo for them so I may see if GotLogos does a good job.

I’ll be looking for more reviews about GotLogos before I go and purchase their most expensive package.

im with you, personally, i think that the overall design is a bit lacking in creativity and theme. but as for the colors, it merely fits in with your current theme without adding anything that may just end up looking bad in the end.

There’s really nothing wrong with it and it’s certainly not as bad as you make it out to be. Like the above poster said, it’s all about taste. I’d have liked to see a little more color – but other than that I like it…

You kill me. That is hilarious! And now all I can think of is a guy in a big yellow construction helmet standing over a red crane with the beam protruding between his legs, a beer in one hand and a big cigar in the other. Reminds me of the Mel Brooks movie “Life Stinks”.

See… now you were exercising some real creativity there! If you were a cartoonist then we’d be getting somewhere.

I agree with both you and Eric’s point about the fact that this is only $25. But at some point I also think at any price there is a minimum respectable level of creativity expected.

Also, when you go to buy one of these logos they try to upsell you to packages that cost a LOT more which would include high res versions of the logo plus vector graphic versions, etc. I remember thinking ‘I wonder if they only make the GOOD logos for the people who pay more’, but then I thought there might be a chance they would still make good ones for everyone because that way you’d fork over more money after the fact to actually get your high res versions.

Oh well.

Terrible logo? No not at all. Could it be better? Absolutely. Then again, $25 isn’t much for a logo. I think you got it easy compared to some of the people there. There’s some really bad logos on that site.

Hey John,

It’s not actually that bad, but it really comes down to personal taste. Only you know what messages you want to get across with your site, so only you know exactly what it should look and feel like. It’s pretty tough to communicate that in a few words with someone who doesn’t have much time to spend building it. At least you’re only out $25.
