Chill A Coke In 2 Minutes!

Superchill CokeLet’s say you’re having a group of friends over, and people show up with warm drinks. Clearly they need to be cooled down, but if you put them in the fridge or a cooler it’s going to take hours.

Well, here’s a little video that demonstrates how to drop those baby down to about 40 degrees in 2 minutes flat.

This works on the same principle as a homemade ice cream maker, but if you’ve never used one of those it basically just involves adding salt to an ice-water mix.

Most Incredible Hockey Fight Ever

Hockey FightThe video clip below is from a 1987 match in Czechoslovakia between Canada and Russia. It started off just like any other hockey fight, but soon escallated into a situation where all of the players on the ice were going at it.

As if that weren’t bad enough, both benches cleared and eventually every player on each side was fighting a player on the other team. Heck, even the two goalies were going at it with one another!

Global Warming ArgumentI think by now everyone knows what side of the environmental debate I’m on. And I’m aware that I have friends and relatives that still have differing opinions on the matter. When we discuss it I normally argue that the consequences of being wrong about global warming are potentially far, far worse than the cost of taking some unnecessary action.

Well, along comes this video that some guy made (I don’t even know who, so if anyone finds out please let me know) which demonstrates the best rational argument I’ve seen to date. I honestly defy you to watch this and then come up with a VALID response.

Future of Free Internet Radio Under Attack

If you run a blog, please support the cause by spreading the word!

The future of Internet radio is in immediate danger! Royalty rates for webcasters have been drastically increased by a recent ruling and are due to go into effect on July 15 (retroactive to Jan 1, 2006!).

This issue needs immediate support or the future of free radio is in jeopardy. According to Pandora founder Tim Westergren:

The survival of Pandora and all of Internet radio is in jeopardy because of a recent decision by the Copyright Royalty Board in Washington, DC to almost triple the licensing fees for Internet radio sites like Pandora. The new royalty rates are irrationally high, more than four times what satellite radio pays and broadcast radio doesn’t pay these at all. Left unchanged, these new royalties will kill every Internet radio site, including Pandora.

At this point there are only a few weeks left to protect the future of Internet based radio stations. Even if you don’t listen to them currently you should be very, very concerned because these stations are how you’ll listen in the future - and that is exactly what the media giants are trying to prevent! Read on and I’ll explain…

Peel Boiled Eggs in 5 Seconds Flat!

Peeled EggsThis is awesome! It is the most unique egg peeling method I’ve seen. Well, I previously posted this other method, but frankly I don’t know anyone that can do it. However, this new method is one that 100% of us can pull off, and it’ll save a ton of time when you really need to get the shell off an egg.

Oh, and while you’re at it, you may want to take a look at how to peel a potato in 2 seconds.

Judge Roy PearsonFinally! A little justice! When I reported on Judge Roy Pearson several weeks ago suing his dry cleaners for $65 Million there were several people who chimed in on the issue. Well, I’m happy to report that not only did Pearson lose the case, but he’s been ordered to pay all the legal fees of the defendant!

On top of that, his job is now in jeopardy and of course he is now infamous enough that no one is ever going to forget what he’s done.

Tank ManIt’s hard to believe that it’s been 18 years since the Tiananmen Square Massacre and the legendary “tank man”. But this month marks the anniversary, and given that enough time as passed that a new generation has been born and without hearing about it I thought I’d give a little reminder surrounding events of the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989.

Although it is believed that Chinese troops under orders from the communist leadership massacred thousands of people, the event was immortalized in Western media by the famous video footage and photographs of a lone man in a white shirt standing in front of a column of tanks. This man has come to be known as “Tank Man” around the world.

He reportedly said, “Why are you here? You have caused nothing but misery.” As the tank driver attempted to go around him, the “tank man” moved into the tank’s path. He continued to stand defiantly in front of the tanks for some time, then climbed up onto the turret of the lead tank to speak to the soldiers inside. After returning to his position blocking the tanks, the man was pulled aside by onlookers who perhaps feared he would be shot or run over.

9 Rules for Air Travel (This Means You!)

Rude PassengersI travel. A lot! What’s a lot? Well, in the last 8 weeks I’ve been on 20 different airplanes. (And I’m writing this while waiting for a flight now…) And you know what I’m sick of even more than the overpriced airlines and late arrivals? The other passengers.

I’ve developed the following list of rules that people need to follow for the general betterment of mankind when traveling by air. If you violate them, just know that I - and probably everyone else - am cursing you and wishing horrible things upon your bloodline.

Connie Britian's Got TalentYou know, I’m starting to think our neighbors across the pond actually DO have some talent. I previously posted about a guy named Paul who gave a fantastic performance, but now you’ve got to check out this 6 year old named Connie!

When she does “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” she literally brings one of the judges to tears, and even Simon loved her.
