Sometimes it can be difficult to decide whether or not to go ahead and book that air travel. Prices could go down, or they could go up, so what’s a boy to do? Well here are two sites to help you solve this dilemma.
When you are in the early planning stages, pop on over to Farecast and tell them your destination. Within seconds you’ll get a prediction as to whether the prices are expected to rise or fall for that particular route and you can make your decision accordingly.
After you’ve bought your ticket many airlines will reimburse you if the fare drops - even though most people don’t know this - but who has time to sit around watching the flight prices every day? Oh wait! I know this one! Yapta does!
Just download and install the Yapta application and receive notifications when prices drop. You will be able to collect either cash or travel vouchers if the prices of any flights drop after you purchase them.
I sure would love to hear stories of anyone that manages to save some cash as a result of this info! Just drop a comment below…
I use the "No Adverts for Friends" plugin by Donncha O Caoimh
Does really prices drop? Does it drop for international flights also? any ideas?
Absolutely! Flight schedules are set months and month in advance, but changes in people’s preference continue. So as some flights go past a certain time without filling up the airlines drop rates or run sales. If you’re booked on a flight when this occurs you can get a refund.

I know of no airline that reimburses passengers if fares drop.
