I came across this one of a kind video filmed off the coast of South Africa in which a whale had died and washed ashore. Not knowing what else to do the local government had it towed out to sea, which attracted a huge gathering of great white sharks.
What happened next was incredible. Over a period of about 24 hours they almost completely devoured the whale, and then decided to get frisky! So, not only did they crew get to film a massive feeding frenzy, they also got to witness the first ever mating session of great white sharks.
That was an excellent video. The last few seconds were the best  the massive carcass almost tossed around like a rag in the mouth of that shark. Amazing strength.

I didn’t, however, see that last few seconds that ‘hthth’ was talking about – I think the video cut off early.

Wow, that would have been cool to see. I have always liked great white sharks. Like people said here they are an amazing creature. I seen the picture here, I would love to see the video but for some reason the video isn’t showing here. I would love to watch it, anywhere else I can see it or is there another link I can use.

That was incredible. The video worked for me this time. Not sure why it didn’t play earlier. WOW! I think that guys nuts for going on the whale though, that was pretty risky, that was crazy. Especially with great white shark literally a couple of feet from him. Wouldn’t catch me doing that, I’ll stay on the boat :-) Thanks John for sharing that unbelievable video with us. Truly amazing!
I think it was scary enough when the dude went diving in the cage, but when he jumped down and sat on the carcass…. As he said, that was probably the dumbest thing he ever did…

Oh no, I didn’t expect to see this when I arrive here. I mean that was really horrifying as the sharks virtually shred and tear the meat apart and to see the person getting so close over there gives me the shivers.
Anyway great find with the video.
