George W. Bush’s sentence-by-sentence speaking skills are deteriorating. Apparently, this may be due to a mental illness called “presenile dementia.” Bush may or may not be secretly still drinking heavily. Bush lied, and thousands of people died. Bush suffers from narcissism and megalomania. Moreover, Bush has been arrested three times. Bush was arrested for disorderly conduct. Bush was arrested for stealing. Bush was also arrested for a serious crime—driving under the influence of alcohol. There are reasons to believe that Bush suffers from a learning disability. Bush’s learning disability would explain a lot of things. All in all, Bush is a severely mentally ill individual. Bush is not fit to be the president of the United States.

Bush should be locked up.

Ron,

Was Clinton actually ever convicted of perjury? Or did he actually ever specifically admit he "lied"?

These are real questions, I can't remember and never followed along that closely. But it seems like the answer to both of those was "no" on technicalities.

When Chris MAtthews said :

For him to say that the penalty is ‘excessive’ may well be true, but it was the same crime that President Bill Clinton was impeached for by a Republican House of Representatives and in which 50 U.S. senators, Republicans, voted to remove him from office. So Republicans as a party thought perjury and obstruction of justice were sufficient to remove a twice-elected president from office. And now the president is saying that 30 months in prison is an excessive penalty for the same exact crime. It’s inconsistent.”

he amazingly missed the biggest inconsistency. Why was Bill Clinton not sentenced to any jail time for his perjury ? Why did the left not scream favoritism at the lack of jail time then ? Perjury by the chief executive of the United States is a far more serious crime than perjury by a chief of staff since the public trust is far greater. The left has abandoned even the pretense of intellectual honesty or fair play. The "ends justify the means" hardball introduced by Bill Clinton's brilliant but vicious team in 1992 is the SOP for the left now. Maybe it always was.

Cheney's got Bush taking full advantage of their basement-dwelling popularity polls. After all, when you're at the bottom, why not do as you please - I mean they did when they were on top. Why should anything be any different today?

Except, perhaps, Scooter's Medal of Honor ceremony probably won't be televised.
