The other teams were composed of welding instructors from all over the country. They didn't pay us much attention till they announced the winners. A bunch of them came over to me and said we ain't seen you boys before how long have you been welding? When I looked at my watch and said about 6 hours they were rather flustered. I told them that my team were all professional artists and they didn't need to worry we wouldn't be back next year. There's a pic on my about the artist page. You know, if someone would call me Blowtorch John then maybe we could collaborate and build a kick ass piece of art! We could fabricate a massive steel frame intertwined with chainsaw carvings! I got the aka during an radio interview. They saw the connection I have with the saw and tagged me. I love the art form and am blessed to make my livelihood as an artist.
