I use VistaPrint.com and GotPrint.com on a routine basis...NEVER been disappointed (except for my own occasional Operator Error!). I have learned what to order from each and i always USE the VistaPrint email-discounts to save more....any day you can save me money -- I can handle flood of emails! The round-corner "almost-plastic" business cards from GotPrint.com never get tossed in the trash so customers are thrilled with that...1,000 for $47 is far better than mere "paper" cards!!

I ordered 250 premium business cards from Vista Print. They came back to me on the cheapest quality paper they could find. They were faded, smaller than the usual business card AND the design I had uploaded was altered during the print process. They had removed my chosen background without telling me. Very dismal print job and the worst quality cards I've ever seen. Stay away from their "premium business cards" like the plague. Have sent through my complaint email to see what they do to resolve it.

It’s crazy reading all these bad reviews on Vistaprint.

Yeah, their shipping is ridiculously expensive. And I have to agree that they are enthusiastic with all their “special offers”. I’ve unsubscribed to all their emails myself.

I’ve been using Vistaprint for a year now for the majority of my small business needs. I have to say that the good outweighs the bad with this company. Once you get the hang of their templates, it’s easy to order exactly what you want. Once you’ve uploaded your photos/logos, then they don’t charge you a second time for the upload. They store them all on their system.

The best thing about Vistaprint is that they have all these free offers floating around on the web. I’m obviously not going to tell you guys all my secrets. But I highly recommend you tinker with Vistaprint a bit more. Try googling whatever you’re looking for and click the vistaprint link. Design a few things with custom photos/logos and then delete the items and... Voila’… a loophole to get your images uploaded for free. If you play around with it enough, for example, you can get 25 high gloss, tri-fold brochures for under $10 (shipping included) EVERY TIME.

P.S. I’ve called their customer service unhappily twice in the last year. Both times, they immediately rush-delivered me a replacement --no questions asked.

Thanks for the review, it was very helpful because someone suggested on line printing with vista and I was considering it but I would not have been happy if the same thing happened to me with the ongoing mails and misleading prints on my first cards. Once again Thank you.

VistaPrint is a SCAM. Ordered checks used PAYPAL, they submitted the charge twice for $96.49 once on 03/19/2012 and again on 04/03/2012. Then 4 other charges to "Fandango" totaling $142.00 were drawn on my checking account. These folks are criminals. Checks looked OK, however now I have to change my bank account and order new checks (from the Bank this time)
VISTAPRINT SUCKS !!!!!

They tricked me and mislead me into ordering 500 extra business cards which I had no desire to purchase, even with the "free shipping" they advertise, which by the way is NOT FREE, they still charged me for shipping. The worst part is I can't even get my money back...because there is no such thing as canceling an order and getting your money back with Vista Print. Also, I can't change my order to correct it to my desired purchase. Why would they do this? Jerks. THANKS A LOT FOR CONFUSING ME, and WASTING MY TIME, MONEY, AND PATIENCE! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........Hate you vista print!

Nothing improves. We ordered a batch of cards which came today and I am so disappointed, they are bland and do not have the clarity that appeared on the computer screen.

I have emailed them for a full refund and await their reply. It will be interesting to see what they say.

The service appeared excellent on the order side, they have let themselves down with the quality of the product.

Dear Vista;
I belong to a not for profit woodcarving club and the person who last ordered our cards has passed away so I'm looking for a new source for our next card order as we are out!
We were quite happy wqith the format of the old cards which diplayed our logo, so I'm
hoping that you can either duplicate the old ones if I send you one, or at leastget all the info
and the logo on the new ones. I am not able to do the transations online but but I will send a check as soon as we come to some agreement. thank you and I look forward to hearing from you
Sincerely yours ...Douglas R. Murray

VISTAPRINT is rip off company, they offer you business cards thinner than a letter paper, it is embarassing to hand them out, plus they ain't for free because they are charging tripple cost of the shipping cost.
Vistaprint sucks, Vistaprint is a theif with a website, vistaprint is A pro scam artist, vistaprint is full of bullsh*t, vistaprint is liar because the priority mail doesn't cost what they are asking for, vistaprint takes too long to mail you your business cards "do they send them on Camel" a camel is faster then vistaprint service.

I purchased business cards from Vistaprint. These were of satisfactory quality; however I immediately noticed that my email spam went from about 1 email per week (and that usually ended up there by accident) to a minimum of 4 per day, advertising anything from casinos to pharmaceutical products. There were also emails claiming to be from Natwest, which was interesting as I've never banked with them...

I couldn't be sure that my information had been shared by Vistaprint; however, I signed up a relative (who almost never goes online) for a Vistaprint account, and she immediately started receiving the exact same spam. I don't believe this was coincidence. I've carefully read through Vistaprint's privacy policy, and nowhere do they say that they will hand over your information to third parties. What they did was absolutely unacceptable, and I would give them no stars given the option.

Do not provide your information to Vistaprint - they will sell it, and from what I've read from other reviews I was lucky to only get my email address leaked, and not my bank details.

Why didn't I read this before ordering from Vistaprint? I placed an order and must say the quality was shocking! Being a togg (photographer) I thought I'd use one of my most popular image as a background. I've printed the said image numerous amounts of time and it looked stunning.....then Vistaprint get hold of it and, well, Oh My Days! I might email them however as I didn't use their sample facility I might be screwed.

Having worked in the printing industry for decades (CD jewel case inserts), I am compelled to let you know that printing black (unless it's simply spot black) is ALWAYS tricky, for some very good (technically speaking) reasons, and ganged print runs complicate the process even more.

To nail the card effect you desire, you would need to run the black twice -- once for the solid area, and then again for the screen (photo image). Of course, who is going to pay this kind of money for business cards? Well, the super rich, perhaps...

I too ordered cards from Vista Print. For me, who is not great with ordering anything on line, I found the ordering process to be fairly easy to follow. However, when my cards arrived the font was so tiny that nobody could read my phone number or email address on them. I wrote to them immediately explaining the problems. Much to my surprise I received new cards in the mail with a larger font - and get this, at NO Charge. Now that my friends is good Customer Service. They did the right thing! Good going VisatPrint! Diana G., Los Angeles.

My first experience wasn't to bad. The cards looked great and they were shipped from the factory in three days. Now, I just ordered the same item but figured I'd save a bit on shipping. I was still thinking they'd leave the factory in about three days but no, the order sits for at least two weeks (and counting). I just wrote them today and they replied that the shipping would be different for different orders (?) and that it ships from Windsor, Ontario (same place as last time). I just wrote them back to point that pout and am looking forward to hearing what they have to say. I think VistaPrint is a little confused with customer satisfaction. If I'd known my order was going to just sit there for weeks before it was shipped I would have ordered from someone else.

Hi
Like so many up here, I was looking for business card service online after a bad experience with VistaPrint. I regret I didn't look before.
First, the paper quality sucks. you can almost see the cutting dots (ok, not that bad, but disappointing). The worst is the color. On the front it's perfect. On the reverse side... All the blue is yellow. Try a twitter, linked in and FB logo in yellow...
I downloaded a high res picture but the finish product if pixelized.
I have a credit I will certainly apply on a t-shirt or mugs with pics of my kids for my mom.
I will relook at all the comments up here and look for a new supplier.
Did they reprint your cards? Where do you print now?
Thanks for the discussion starter!!!
4 years and still a hot topic!

I used to use VistaPrints also for cards that I designed for my clients. Usually they did an okay job on the colors, etc. My biggest complaint, apart from the hundreds already listed is that the cards are actually smaller than the industry standard of 2"x3.5". I'm not sure why they do this, but it makes it really easy to pick out a VP card. I have recently started using http://www.hugemonkey.com, they have a goofy name, but the cards so far have been really great quality. I know they have magnets too (for David Eldridge), but I've never bought any so I can't speak to their quality. I have purchased, business cards, postcards and brochures and am happy with all of them. Hope this helps.

I ordered from them the other day and you have to watch the upsells, they are as bad as Godaddy. When I got to check out they had added $5 for each image I used! I had used several, so I went back and put 3 of them together and reduced the price by $10. They then snuck in an adress label for $4 and I didnt catch it on checkout as I had spent hours designing and getting everything just right.

I think the philosophy is: "By the time the customer gets to checkout they will be so tired and confused they will click on anything"

I also ordered 3 day shipping so I'm waiting to see how soon they come and what they look like.

Vista print is ok if you have the designer to proof your files. Adjusting the curves in the photo and setting the c, m, y, k value to 100, 100, 100, 100 looks nice. buttttttttttttttttt always always always when working with black on print check the channel layers. Simply unchecking the c, m, y, k would of noticed your photo discoloration and saved you looking ummmm well not a designer.
