Lorelle VanFossen on Kicking Ass Content Connections

by John P.

Lorelle At WordCampThis is the one hour long lecture given by Lorelle VanFossen at the WordCamp 2007 conference in San Francisco, CA two weeks ago on the topic of Kicking Ass Content Connections. In order to put it up in decent quality I had to break it into two parts.

Lorelle gave this lecture from 1pm-2pm on July 21, 2007 at the Swedish American Hall. She went immediately after lunch, and it was a good thing because normally you get that “after lunch” energy lull – but not with Lorelle presenting! As you can see from the video she is a bundle of energy and was by far the biggest challenge for me to keep the camera on.

There is also a Windows Media version at Blip.TV or you can download a Quicktime version in two parts here and here. Furthermore, Lorelle has kindly made available a PowerPoint to go along with this video.

Please feel free to grab the code and embed any of the WordCamp videos in your own sites. We filmed these so that the millions of WordPress users who were NOT able to attend WordCamp would be able to hear the messages.

I’m pretty big on content for my clients and people that ask for help online. It’s gotta be there to succeed.

If there is one thing Lorelle doesn’t lack, its passion. What a great presentation! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, we’ve really come full circle huh? Websites were blogs before there were blogs? No, Lorelle, you weren’t blogging in 1994, you had a web site. Congratulations. But, in fact, blogs are simply websites: they are only content management systems that display content in chronological order. What you did in 1994 wouldn’t count as a blog. But the stuff you blog about today is really just an easy way to build a website.
