How Much Faster is a Race Car Than Yours?

by John P.

Fiat Vs Ferrari Vs Formula 1This video is awesome! It pitts a little every day driver Fiat against a high performance Ferrari 360 Modena against a Formula 1 race car on a closed track. But to make things fair, the Fiat gets a 1.5 minute head start, and the Ferrari gets a 1 minute start against the Forumla 1 car.

As to what happens next, you’re just going to have to watch the video to find out…

Even though I’m no fan of racing sports, I must admit that it is pretty darn interesting! (On a sidenote, I believe that the Ferrari got a full minute headstart on the F1 race car because it started 1/2 a minute after the Fiat did.) I think that my respect of race car drivers went up a bit after this. Thanks for the interesting video.

Derek,

Thanks for pointing out my error! :-) You’re right, the Ferrari still had a 1 minute head start. (I’ve fixed the description.) It’s crazy how fast those Formula 1 cars are!

That was just AWESOME!!! :D And a trip! Hubby was watching over my shoulder and said the Formula 1 car goes around the corners at 130 mph! Can you even imagine going around a corner at 130 mph?! Yikes!

Despite that video giving me a rather banging headache, that was truly amazing. One minute is a HUGE head start.
