A Short Love Story in Stop Motion
Carlos Lascano made one of the most amazing short films I’ve ever seen. What is so impressive about this film is that it’s entirely stop motion, so every single frame had to be created by hand. I can only imagine how long it took to create 3 minutes of video this way.
Every character...
Political Art of Banksy the Graffiti Guerrilla
Hi kids. Today’s art lesson comes in the form of England’s most popular and well known graffiti artist. How popular is he? Well, two men were actually convicted in a UK court for defacing one of his works. That’s right. He tagged a building, they covered it up, and they...

Hmmm, heh, wow … why? We invaded Iraq. We started this all-out war. Over what? A few thousand US lives? How many has it cost now total, US and otherwise? How about money too?
cool pic!

Down the road under an overpass there is graffiti that says “Colbert 08″. It was written a couple weeks ago before Colbert withdrew (or announced he wasn’t running, etc), but I laugh everytime I see it because it’s a refreshing change from gang signs lol..
Although it also got me thinking.. in the new hood I moved to, it’s mostly upper middle class (not sure why they let ME in =p), so it’s kind of funny to see how the graffiti changes from the neighborhoods I used to live in growing up (much poorer) vs the newer “new home” community I’m in now.
Hey, at least our taggers are politically conscious I guess!
