Kangaroo Escapes at Australian Supercar Race

Kangaroo on Race TrackWow. This is the luckiest marsupial that ever hopped the earth.

Apparently a Kangaroo got loose on the track at the Bathurst Racetrack in Australia while a race was going on and about 10 cars going upwards of 200kph managed to avoid him on every side. This little guy is extremely lucky to still be alive!

Yes, they’re heavy enough & solid enough to demolish the front end of a car, especially at that speed.

  2. Derek Wong says:

Wow I can’t believe that kangaroo didn’t get hurt. Although I suppose that there must be quite a few instances where it didn’t fair so well, but those videos won’t be high on anyone’s YouTube list.

  3. Tom Barr says:

Blimey, I reckon those blokes need some dinky die roo bars, eh? She’ll be right, mate!

For those of us who didn’t have a clue what Tom just said, I used this handy Australian Slang Dictionary along with the Urban Dictionary and here is the interpretation in proper English:

Wow, I suppose those guys need a genuine kangaroo guard affixed to the front of their vehicles to protect them against hitting kangaroos. It will be OK, buddy!

    :-)

Interesting. The difference between the words in Tom’s post and John’s interpretation. Blimey.
