John P Hard at Work

by John P.

My wife walked in and snapped a photo of me when I was going through some of my magazines (uh yeah… I read a lot of magazines) in my office and told me I should share the photo with you guys so you can see where I spend all my “free” time.

So yeah, this is me, and this is my home office where all the magic happens for OMB.

John P. at Work

Of course… about the time you’ll be reading this, I’ll be arriving in Hawaii. So, I wouldn’t say I’m exactly “hard at work” right now.

Don’t worry, I’ve got the posts all tee’d up and ready for you guys for the next couple weeks. I’ll also be augmenting those articles with photos and stories from my travels as I’m able to (Translation: when I get off the beach and am not feeling too lazy to do a little work).

That’s a nice looking office and setup! I’m sure that Hawaii will be quite pleasant right now.

You know I was just laughing at my new stack of mags this month that put together are thicker than a Stephen King novel.. Given there’s a lot of fluff there, there’s also a lot of really great blog articles waiting to happen..

If I had more time to blog, I’d be churning out a bunch.. there are so many tidbits in magazines that deserve more research and dedication :)

Props to the wifey for giving us a glimpse into your world! :D

I always wind up with way too many magazines – I usually have to throw quite a few away that I haven’t even read! Some treehugger I am, eh? :P

@Brandon – yep, I’m not gonna win any environmental awards!

@Marcia – normally the office is actually pretty organized. I’m a bit of a neat freak. ;-)

I’ll take lots of good photos in Hawaii… I’m sitting in the Honolulu airport waiting for my flight to Lanai at the moment!

Later!

John

Hmmm… I thought my husband was the only one with 3 (or more) computers on his desk. Hope your trip is wonderful!

Elisa,

Hehehe. Technically I only have two computers, but the big one has two monitors. Your husband will probably appreciate this… my desktop machine is a homebuilt quad core processor with 4GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. I’ve got a 756MB video card driving two 22″ Viewsonic monitors. That is what I do most of my work on.

However, I also keep my handy little laptop for when I’m traveling. Can never be too far from the computer, right? :-)

I’m writing this from my room at the Four Seasons in Lanai, so look for some of the posts now that I’ve been able to get a little Internet connectivity. Funny thing… the Internet is quite slow in the middle of the Pacific! :-)

Take care,

John
