The trouble with doing something right the first time, is that nobody appreciates how difficult it was.
This immediately reminds me of my work (computer programming). Especially for applications, I’ve joked with my friends that if your program completely compiles the first time, then you’ve either done something horrible wrong or it’s your luckiest day ever. Of course, this assumes that you’re compiling something far less trivial than a “Hello World” program.
A coder here too Derek. I set up email alerts for a client and he assumes no errors means I’m not working :) The downside of course is that things like javascript and AJAX report client side and not always server side, so there’s a matter of education on my part to let him know that the error emails are not the best indicator :)
I will head over to the Bubble Game and do that right :)
John, you should check out Boston Legal TV Series for some really cool quotes from Denny Crane :)
Kim:)
Hahah sooo true … everyone around me has been somewhat awed by my recent successes online and no one seems to get how hard it was because I had a lot of thought, prep and work that went into ahead of time and during :P
