Merry Christmas!

by John P.

Happy Holidays!I just wanted to take a moment to tell everyone Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I know that not everyone is a Christian, so forgive me for not doing the cliche thing and listing out every possible greeting for the various holiday seasons.

What I would be really, really interested in though – is finding out what the coolest gifts everyone received for the holiday season! So, either drop a comment below and share your bounty, or ping me with a trackback from your own blog post about whatever cool new toy you got!

And once again, Happy Holidays!

Hah, I’ll let you know when we open ‘em up, but I got my brother a bluetooth wireless headset, my mom some locally produced jam/honey from Washington state and a camera case and my dad a book (cuz dads are always the hardest to shop for of course!)

Ah, Webby – my dad eats books for breakfast – you could never, ever buy him enough books! Haha! I’m sure he’ll love it!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!!!

Mark has some surprise for me – *crossing fingers* hope it’s gadget-y!!! Screw jewelry and shit! LOL!!

And I’ve been attacking every UPS/Fedex guy that even comes near the house – watching for ‘your gift’!! Heehee! One day I ran out the front door all excited, and the guy was taking forever to come from around the other side of the truck, and the anticipation was building …and building ….

And he finally appeared – with a HUGEMONGOUS box! And I just busted up laughing, so then he starts laughing and asking me why we’re laughing…and I told him, “I thought those were my headphones!” hahaha!

It was the big box of gifts from my Dallas folks for all the kids and stuff! Haha!

He was a sweet guy – he got a kick out of it!

Ok, I can hear the troops moving around back there….better see if I can rouse the old man!

Merry Christmas to ALL!! So far I have received a cd James Taylor Live. I know he’s an old guy but good music. I also received a nice pair of pajamas, and two handmade Christmas ornaments, one cut glass and the other a heart pillow embellished with gold trim with the word “JOY” embroidered on it. Extravegent giifts are not necessary to have a blessed Christmas. I may receive more today during the Christmas celebrations of the day!!!
Hope everyone enjoys the day with LOVE and PEACE in their HEARTS>

Well, now I can’t wait to hear what Mark got for you! And I’ve been so bad… I have been out of town so much and didn’t get the headphones shipped yet. :-( I’m even out of town right now!!!

I’ve got a little secret that I’ve been waiting to announce, but I’ll leak it a little here – I got suckered into taking a job! We’re trying to get a press release out soon, but been so incrediblly busy haven’t been able to yet. Everyone keeps telling me that they are disappointed that I would go back to work, but this opportunity was too good to pass up. :-)

I promise I’ll get the headphones shipped as soon as I get back to town! So you should have them very soon!!! ;-)

Well, I got a new Wii this year, and two games for it – Star Wars Lego game and the Cars video game. And I must say, the Wii rocks!

Ok, well, I did get some jewelry – but, it’s awesome! It’s handmade by a local woman, and the bracelet has ceramic elephants on it – I love elephants! And the necklace and earrings have leaves (fits that treehugger thing, ya know..) ;) and butterflies – and I just love butterflies!!

But – I also got ‘gadget-y’! Yea! I got one of those new digital photo frames, and best of all – I got a Cyber Power Battery Backup for my computers!!! Totally awesome! So now maybe I can avoid another crash!

And you mean I’ve been accosting deliverymen for nothing? Hahaha! I’m not telling them that – you tell ‘em! LOL Seriously, it’s cool – send whenever you can.

A J.O.B.? Noooo, say it ain’t so! Well, I hope you won’t let OMB go completely – you can still update like once a week or so, right? It looks like a great position, though – Congratulations!

I didn’t know you were with Cable and Wireless – you didn’t know John Dyer, did you?

John,

Tell the truth to Lisa Marie, you’re very good at promising to send stuff, though it never actually ships.

Just giving you a hard time since there is a very obvious empty wall in my house that is reserved for your fantastic piece of art. If I had a nickle for every time my wife has asked when it’s coming, I’d be able to quit my job, buy Layered Tech and force you to concentrate on onemansblog full time…now that would be bring joy to the world.

Happy Holidays…

Doah!

You make one little piece of art and then don’t ship it for a year, and never live it down! :-)

Actually, just to add salt to Greg’s wound, Holly took Lisa’s headphones with her to work today and is going to stop by the post office to send them at lunch. Hehehe. Now I’m in big trouble!

That’s a pretty good haul there Brandon!

By the way, as an update to my Wii situation, I ended up with 3 new games for it by the time Christmas was over!

Thanks, that does make me feel worse…just what I wanted for Hanukkah.

So, I’m going to try and make sense of this. Lisa, wins a contest and you only make her wait 2 months, but I am buying something from you and I wait, not a year, but 16 months with no end in sight.

I’m going to start deducting $5 bucks from the price we agreed upon every day that it goes unshipped (delivery confirmation will put an end to the misery)…and I’m going to notify you in extremely annoying ways what the balance is… e v e r y d a y.

John,

You currently owe me $300. 130 days x $5 = $650 – the cost of the now twice broken piece of art.

In under 90 minutes it will be $305. (Yeah, I’ll give you CST) So get moving.

Word to Terry G chillin’ with a big basket of fried chicken.
