Im a Native born North Texan, and the truth is that. We do have snow and Ice. It will last for a day and next day its gone. But we do have snow. The saying here is "If you don't like the weather now come back in five minutes and it will be to your likin."

I live in austin, texas and i've that happen just in a different order than the comic... the night before it snowed (only about an inch) and stuck till the morning, around 10:00 it heated up to 75 and later in the day to 85 (the hot part). then around 5:00 or 6:00 some really strong wind blew up from the south (the wind part) and brought some pretty big storms in that night (the rainy part).

Growing up in Michigan, we would say "If you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes". I also enjoyed watching Texans trying to drive when they got hit with a little ice, it made for good Weather Channel fodder. But I live in SoCal now so the weather is basically perfect and snow is within an easy drive from some excellent surf spots. :D

Too funny, and too true! Although, I am finding much of the same here in Alabama! We recently had our 'big snow', which the kids just absolutely freaking loved! And then two days later, I noticed a lovely dandelion blooming in the yard - I thought that was so funny - I totally should have blogged it! Ha! (My brother says it's like that in Pueblo, too!)

I've never lived in Texas (let alone been there for more than a day), so I can't really say whether I think it's funny in its accuracy. If it were true, I think that'd be pretty funny because it definitely would be different than my impression of it. I did think that there were very hot summers and very cold winters. But not at the same time!

Ha, I love the drawing. Being from Wisconsin and now living in Texas, with California and New York in between, I can attest to the Texas weather. Hear I thought Texas was all at least warm.
