The following Press Release appeared in the Dallas Morning News to announce my sale of One Man’s Blog:
Google today announced it has struck an accord with the popular blogger John Pozadzides, from One Man’s Blog, whereby they will acquire all content and image rights including the likeness of Mr. Pozadzides.
Jack Spenser, VP of New Media Development, said, “Google is pleased to have obtained such a volumnuous library of top content. Over the past two years we’ve sent millions of visitors to the site, so it seemed like a natural fit to bring it under the Google umbrella. This is the first acquisition in the new Google Blog Content Ownership program, and we will be announcing acquisitions of many other top bloggers in the very near future. Our goal is to own all the top content on the Web.”
“To be honest, I’m quite pleased to dump this albatross off on Google,” said Mr. Pozadzides. “Now that I’ve already cashed the check I don’t mind telling you that I won’t be missing the late nights of authoring articles until 3am. Now it’s someone else’s problem, good riddance!”
Mr. Pozadzides has agreed to stay on as a content advisor for no more than a period of 144 months in order to maintain the content and supervise a team of outsourced Malaysians who will take over publication duties.
Amusingly this is in my feed reader a little bit too early for my time zone. Haha it’s only 11:17 PM on March 31. Can’t please ‘em all, huh?
Time zones… areant they great… in reality using a phone you got 48 hours of free reign to joke on people :)

JP-May I suggest that the only respectable thing to do with that huge (8 figure, no doubt) check is to divide amongst your loyal readers. Those readers, who have many times stayed up until 3 a.m. waiting for the latest knife sharpening tips. Bring on the Malaysians ;<)

Today’s just a great day for this sort of stuff. I received an email from a prince in some other country saying that he was going to help me out with $55,000,000!!!!
Once he gets my social security number and bank account info, it’s going to be new car shopping time for me!
I have learned not to trust any news on April the 1st, especially if they are written on blogs. :)
Is anyone else disappointed with the Google’s prank this year? I think they could have done better.
Google’s was sorta cute, but, yeah, I found them disappointing this year, too. JP’s ROCKED, though – so, we’re all good! ;) Heehee!

Hahaha! I love it! I’ve been scouting the web for the various pranks, and it didn’t even occur to me that I’d find one here! I love it!! Especially the DMN part – totally awesome!!
