Here is a mesmerizing video of 100 acrobats and dancers from the “Chinese State Circus” performing Swan Lake.
These performances remind me of Cirque du Soliel, though I’ve never had the opportunity to actually see the Chinese State Circus in person. As I understand it, they perform primarily in Europe, so if any of you guys across the pond have seen them in person let us know if it’s as great as it looks like it would be!
I was working with the chinese state circus on seversl tours in Europe. The performance of this group is amazing, if they do classical shows or traditional stuff.
Whenever you have the change to see them make sure you spend some more dollar to sit close to the stage not somewhere in the back.
Working with them (we provided sound and light systems) is quite interesting as they do everything by themself (not like our spoiled western stars) The stage-hands are there to push the cases to the stage and back to the truck. All the rest (stage-set-up) is done by the chinese crew and artists.
Aw Rhoody – you can say “spoiled western stars” if you want, but be honest! It’s Union regulations that require specific #s of people doing specific tasks for specific numbers of hours. The unions can’t go after the Chinese visitors, but no show on Broadway would be allowed to stay open while the cast were their own crew.
13 Amazing Cirque du Soleil Performances
Cirque du Soleil is, without a doubt the most amazing circus on the planet. They find the most incredible performers on earth and assemble them on stage for shows that literally defy description and leave audiences gasping and begging for more.
I’ve seen a number of Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas as well...
America Gives US Infrastructure Projects to Chinese State-Owned Firms
My dad sent me this link to an ABC News clip claiming that US cities are hiring Chinese instead of American workers for building projects. I’m pretty moderate in most ways, but in this one I’m a hard liner and I can’t believe the citizens are allowing this kind of pathetic decision making to...
Kristina Kireeva – The Incredible Contortionist
I came across this video labeled “The worlds most flexible woman” about Kristina Kireeva. I’m not sure exactly how you would measure flexibility, but I am sure that no one could possibly beat her by much!
Here is an interview with Kristina conducted by CircusLand that sheds light on a few details. Kristina began...
