You forgot one benefit being the security of our country. If we are no longer diverting our hard earned money to the middle east, we have more to spend on American product and we also secure our country in times of war. Most of the unrest resides in the very area's producing oil.

No longer can OPEC willy nilly decide to jack up oil.

Mouth agape. In awe. Completely awestruck. It's SO beautiful! And it's eco-friendly?! A car that gorgeous - is eco friendly? Dude, John - you did buy the wrong car!!

It's just like I like my gold (I'm a gold girl, not really into diamonds - we're not all the same, you know) - but, with cars and gold - I like it to look 'poured' - love it! And to top that off - right on the home page, it says "How fast can you make water go?" Love it!

So beautiful - it's so beautiful. And touche - he got ya on your carbon footprint. ouch.

Sensitive comment: Sorry to hear about your illness

Expected Comment: Maybe this is karma for having one of the world's largest carbon footprints. Buy one of these and all will be forgiven: http://www.ronnmotors.com/cms/

Feel better, and get rid of that slow-ass NSX : )

All I know is that since moving out to Alabama, small town, in the foothills of the Appalachians - just lovely - every time we come back home to Dallas - hubby and I both have trouble breathing and have HORRIBLE allergies! He says that he will never move back there! It's truly amazing to go in my front yard and look at a National Forest - I think I've had enough of concrete and smog!!

That is such a bummer that you got so sick and you are so right - that is an alarming bunch of 'coincidences'!!

You may be jumping a bit too quickly to a conclusion here. I am trying to imagine how rain would bring pollution into your lungs. As the rain falls it may pick up air born pollution and bring it to the ground and on impact release it. It may knock ground based pollution into the air but I would suspect that would fall back to earth rather quickly. Also I am familiar enough with the auto industry and the industries around a city like Chicago that I am fairly confident that the government has regulated them enough that in many cases what exits the factory or vehicle is cleaner than what entered. I worked in an industry that had to use water as a cleaner and the water we returned to the city (via sewer) was cleaner than what received. I always assume when I have allergic signs it's from pollen or some other vegetation I came in contact with in yard work. I also believe being out in the sun or wearing too much sun screen may have an affect on me.

I also think the industry we know as the government doesn't really care about pollution or fuel use. If they did we wouldn't have rush hours or traffic lights that are not coordinated or bogus carpool lanes and wouldn't be lagging so far behind France in clean nuclear power. Al Gore is a tobacco industry trust fund child that has made a fortune from his environmental shtick and flies around in his private pollution machine. Has this guy heard about the internet and a wonderful thing called webcasting?
