I’ve written several times about Taser abuse, but this one takes the cake. I mean seriously, this cannot be explained.
An unarmed 16 year old boy laying on the ground, below a 30 foot overpass, with a broken back and a broken foot muttering incoherently is tasered 19 times by police in Missouri. Their excuse:
“He refused to comply with the officers and so the officers had to deploy their Tasers in order to subdue him. He is making incoherent statements; he’s also making statements such as, ‘Shoot cops, kill cops,’ things like that. So there was cause for concern to the officers,” said Ozark Police Capt. Thomas Rousset.
So, let’s imagine how this went down shall we?
Boy with broken back: Lays on ground, immobile.
Cop: Get up.
Boy with broken back: mumble, mumble
Cop: Get up or I’ll Tase you.
Boy with broken back: You’re a cop, please don’t shoot me or I’ll probably die.
Cop: Did you say something about killing cops? Well, here’s a little something for ya…
I like Steve Watson’s summary of the article over on Infowars:
You couldn’t make it up if you tried. Police in Ozark, Missouri repeatedly tased a critically injured sixteen year old boy after he “refused to comply with the officers”.
The cops were called to investigate reports of a boy walking along a busy overpass, but when they got there they found young Mace Hutchinson had fallen 30 ft to the ground below, breaking his back and and foot in the process.
When he did not co-operate with the cops they pulled out their stun guns and fired them into his body, shocking him up to nineteen times with 50,000 volts.
According to the boy’s father, the actions of the police caused an elevated white blood cell count leading Mace to develop a fever that delayed vital surgery by two days.
The article goes on to say:
Tasers are supposed to be the last response before lethal action, yet police now use the taser as if it is a pair of handcuffs or pepper spray. The latest figures show that over 300 people died in one year in admitted cases in the US alone from being tased.
Prominent heart doctors have declared that there is no doubt that Tasers can cause heart problems and even induce sudden and lethal cardiac arrest.
The UN’s Committee Against Torture issued a statement on the TaserX26, in November of last year which read: “The use of TaserX26 weapons, provoking extreme pain, constituted a form of torture, and that in certain cases it could also cause death, as shown by several reliable studies and by certain cases that had happened after practical use.”
Despite these facts, we see stories every week of old women, children and disabled people being shot with tasers. The weapons are even being used in schools.
The police are now trained that “pain compliance,” a euphemism for torture, is acceptable in apprehending anyone even if that person poses no physical danger.
The heart of the issue is that this was another act of wanton police brutality and torture by means of tasing.

I read this story elsewhere, but it still amazes me that these are police officers who seemingly cannot put two and two together in figuring out they were sent on a call about a walker on the bridge, they found a boy under the bridge supine, and can’t deduce that he probably fell and is injured. There seems to be a serious lack of intelligence there.
What is scarier, is these people who can’t figure this out also have guns that fire lethal bullets.
OMG, that is so nauseating. I can’t even believe it!
And yeah, what Dawg said:
I’m not going to place ALL cops in one category. I refuse. But, I will say this…police officers SHOULD be psychologically re-evaluated every 12-24 months. They under go heavy psych evaluation to join the force, then…nothing. It’s assumed they will stay sane for the rest of their lives and evidence shows that is not the case.
Think about it…the entire police force would be more at ease knowing each officer on the street was mentally stable.
FrankenPC, unfortunately I don’t think mental stability is the problem, just pure simple stupidity.
Have you seen the tests you have to do to get in to the police? Seriously, it’s easier to become a police officer than a supervisor in McDonalds.
I strongly believe that police officers who abuse their power, especially in these disgusting cases of tasing that we are constantly reading about, should be executed. No trial, no second chance, just executed. It is sad that in most of these cases nothing much if anything at all is done to the offending officers. At the very least they should be not only fired but jailed for life. I still say execute them after the 1st offense, police brutality of this nature should NOT be accepted in any civil society.
The officer(s) responsible should most definitely be fired immediately and never be allowed to use firearms or tasers again for the rest of their lives. In addition to that, they should also have to pay that family a large sum of money.
this makes me sick and i bet you the pigs that did this to this poor boy will get away with it. these cops should be prosecuted and put in jail like the criminals that they are. america is turning into one big police state. the american people really need to wake up and take some drastic actions fast before it is to late.
