		<description>In the USA many many many people are practicing functional polygamy.  What I mean by that is many people are cheating on their spouses, or are having &quot;casual&quot; relationships.  At least with polygamy the issue is open and honest.</description>

Polygamy was accepted in the &quot;olden&quot; days because so many men died in hunting and wars that there was often quite a difference in numbers between men and women.  These days, when the numbers are fairly even, there is no good reason for it.</description>
