In these bad days the market is driven by the bulls... It wouldn't be suprising to see a lot of people shorting the market making things even worst...

Reading about, as the Royal Bank of Scotland Spokesman said its all 'speculation' with short trade stopped here in the UK I'm hopping some stabilisation will start to occur in the market, but all one can do is hope.

Interestingly in a discussion with random person A on the train a few days ago, it was mooted one of the reasons this is occurring is due to the economy being heavily based on oil. One of the side effects of the recent 'wars' is free oil which has then been priced at high prices by the govt. resulting in a deflux on the exploration recovering and drilling aspect of the market. etc etc

That topic is worthy of an essay in itself. With the $350 billion agreement rejected by congress, it will be interesting to see what Mr Bush does now and this new proposal would be.

Now that is some hectic stuff. And the worse thing is, that the rest of the world will get a cold when the US sneezes. This is the perfect time to analyse ones lifestyle to see if you can really afford everything in your possession. Damn it!

I just have to say that all of this is so darned confusing. When they say 'top up' - that is referring to the mad rush to the gas stations once people hear they actually have some - and filling their tanks full, right?

It's been eery here in NE Alabama, driving down the street seeing so many stations with no gas. Sort of like a ghost town - a ghost town with people in it. Definitely odd.

The station I passed this morning had gas, though, and several people buying gas. There were no lines, and there wasn't even a car at every pump. That's refreshing.
