I was watching a show on PBS tonight and it was all about the massive Smithsonian Zoo. This is the national Zoo for the US, and they take care of hundreds of species of animals – many of which are endangered and near extinction.
During the show they got to talking about pandas and they mentioned that you can watch the pandas live on the Panda Cam any time you feel like it! They have about 40 different cameras all over the panda habitat, so I figured I would share this little tidbit with you guys.
You can follow this link to see the Giant Pandas at the national Zoo Web site (or follow this link to see all the other animals). And in the meantime, you can see some more exciting videos from the pandas that people caught on YouTube below.
You’ll also find photos of the Pandas here, and if you’re feeling generous you can help support the pandas here.
Seriously tooo cute , damn there are very less numbers left in the world now :(
Save Panda Save!
Half of me is thinking “Oh, that’s cute” and the other half is thinking “Oh great, another way to waste time online”!
i love the pandacam! i guess it’s got that face-tracking technology that keeps it trained on them. wish there were a way to embed the cam on a website, but if there is one, i couldn’t figure it out.
Awesome! We recently went to the San Diego zoo, and I was only able to get a picture of the panda’s butt. The pandacam is a bit better. :)
