Ok seriously, I didn’t even know most of this was humanly possible. This video contains about 7 minutes of crazy Yo-Yo action. I remember when I was a kid and I got my first yo-yo. I played it till my fingers bled… it was the summer of ‘69. Wait… maybe not.
Anyway, I was proud if I could just “walk the dog”. These guys could do that with the yo-yo attached to their little pinky toe!

that’s what i love about this site — you never know WHAT the heck you’ll find here.
and i quoted you this morning on my blog, john (with attribution, of course) — i love that tagline, “specialization is for insects”
have a great day.
Why do you have the tag line as ‘Specialization is for insects’ could not find more on this, is that simply or you are really into them and this blog is into some other niche?
I could probably take a guess at why John uses that tagline. As Jackie above stated “you never know WHAT the heck you’ll find here”. John’s blog contains a whole variety of topics that attract a large number of readers. He doesn’t specialize in one certain area which, although it might have a more in-depth base for discussion, also doesn’t appeal to the masses as a whole.
I, myself, enjoy reading all the variety of topics and find myself interested in things I might not normally read or was aware about.
So, “Specialization is for Insects” fits this blog oh so well.
Also, if you peek at my About page, you’ll find out where the tagline comes from. ;-)
John
That makes it clear, its from a great quote :) & I do agree a man should be able to do anything & everything!
About 15 years ago in school there was an assembly with a world renowned yo-yo trick guy..the kicker? He also sold yo-yos and over the next week or so every kid in the school had bout 2-3 of them going from cheap to expensive thinking “oh if I just got the flux capacitor x270 yo-yo I’d be as good as that guy” i personally dumped $50 into the deception…or my own stupidity, whichever you prefer. I still can’t make the thing come up the string in a straight line….
After watching for a few minutes, it serves as a reminder that there are individuals perfecting skills that we haven’t seen done even at an amateur level in months or years. There may be a group of individuals somewhere practicing throwing rocks in a specific way right now. I sometimes like to see when people transition from a skill that is not as marketable to a skill that is more marketable, using the original skill to provide them more leverage to obtain reasonable position in the newer skill.
