Imagine that a whole colony of ants hauled 40 tons of dirt out of the ground to build a home, the equivalent of building the Great Wall of China, and then some scientists come along and pour 10 tons of concrete in it so they can see what the colony looked like.
I’m pretty sure the ants didn’t appreciate it, but it was awesome nonetheless!

That’s insane, it’s a bit of a shame that they destroyed all of that hard work, but then I guess that’s what happens when we’re higher on the “food” chain.
