I don’t know if you are like me… but I love to quote movie lines! I quote them all the time, but the problem is, there are some people who just haven’t seen them all. So, I’m going to start digging up the ones I say all the time and adding them to my blog so that those of you who know and love me can at least get in on the action.
This first movie quote comes from The Princess Bride. One of the greatest movies ever made! The very opening of the movie includes a discussion about a very, very important phrase that is a recurring theme of the film, “…as you wish.” If you didn’t fully understand the significance of this phrase, this little clip will clear it up for you.

‘glad to be of service’ is one of my favorites. From Galatea in Bicentennial man, and also from the doors on the heart of gold from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. I don’t know if one writer was a fan of the other, but it is nice to see a movie quote in another movie.

My husband is constantly quoting movies as the circumstances of our daily lives call for them! It can get rather annoying! LOL I have to admit to doing it occasionally myself, but, his ‘movie quote knowledge’ is extensive and every single thing that happens in our lives can and often does call for one!!! *shakes head*
From The Princess Bride:
Vizzini: He didn’t fall? INCONCEIVABLE!
Inigo Montoya: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
And another:
Inigo Montoya: I do not mean to pry, but you don’t by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
Westley: Do you always begin conversations this way?
love the movie – but did you see the music video choice in the clip above of “kiss the girl” – somehow I think watching the scenes with a crab singing in the background takes something away from the genius of the movie

So John you want to say you love us all, when you say as you wish?
I love that movie. I wish the new movies would have the same charme.
This is definately a movie that sticks in my mind. Not just because of Andre the Giant but the whole “inconceivable!” line.
John, that is a good one from The Princess Bride but the best one is… “My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!”
Keep this idea up.. I am in the same boat as you. I love movies and movie quotes are great but they lose their luster when other don’t have a clue.
Geez…now I have to watch that movie…
…as you wish.

The Princess Bride is an AWESOME movie! In fact, I once wrote a business related post based on quotes from that movie…lol.
One of my favorite movie lines of all time was from Hackers:
“There are things worse than death…and I can do all of ‘em!”
I guess this one’s an orginial….
“I’ll Be Back.” Some movie by arnold schwarzenegger

Love this movie! So many great lines. Can’t wait to pick it up (finally!) on Blu-Ray.
My favorite line in the whole movie:
Man in Black: They were both poisoned. I spent the last few years building up an immunity to iocane powder
