Thanks for the update and the motivation. I really need to do one of these, but somethings always keeps me from starting. When I do start, it doesn't last for long. The last time I tried I lost 20 pounds fairly quickly, but slowly lost the motivation and those 20 pounds came back with 5 friends.

I guess it is time to stop finding excesses and do something for my health. I always tried either early morning or late a night, but when you're tired its too easy to sleep in or go to bed. John, when do you find the time to do your exercises?

The fact that you haven't stepped inside a gym, and can still eat the odd pizza and popcorn speak volumes of the efficacy of this program. The results are impressive, and with zero capital outlay it sure appeals to me!

Hey Eric! Welcome to the challenge! :-)

As far as my eating habits are concerned... well, today I had some chips. And a small 8" cheese pizza... and some popcorn. So, judge for yourself! heheheh

Actually, I will say that in addition to cutting my portion sizes down we really have kind of started eating healthier. Like we haven't had hardly any fast food. But it's mostly because I've been trying to avoid all High Fructose Corn Syrup. Frankly, it's no fun to go to McDonald's if you are going to get a burger and a cup of water! So we've been going to nicer places and splitting meals instead. Actually spending the same amount of money, but getting higher quality and more fulfilling food.

Another unexpected side effect is, my stomach has not been as upset as it used to be sometimes because I'm not putting all that trash in it! I feel 100% better!

Hope that helps,

Congrats, John! I just found your posts on the Health Challenge, and I'm planning on starting mine tonight. What have you been eating? Did you go the whole "health food" route, or did you just eat anything but cut the portions down?

Congrats, John - you're doing awesome! And you are SO right about WANTING IT. It really is that simple. Last May I really wanted it and wound up losing 40lbs over about, oh, I don't know, maybe 6mos. But I wasn't done...and the wanting - the true wanting - has left....urgh... A lot of it does have to do with these darn migraines, for sure, though.

I'm so glad you're sharing all of this with us, though - it's definitely inspirational! :)

That's what I'm talking about. Constantly working on the important parts that you want to recover is the best way to do it. Push-ups to many say it's hard, but it all depends on your goals. 300 push ups is a lot man, congratulations!
