My New Custom HDR Wall Art From Trey Ratcliff of StuckInCustoms.com

John P.

May 19, 2010 By John P.

A few weeks ago I got a brand new piece of art from Trey Ratcliff, who specializes in hdr photography. And I’m not talking about a little 8″x10″ photo or anything… I’m talking about a 5 foot diagonal full color photograph specially printed on a high gloss aluminum surface.

The photo is one Trey took in Central Park which I immediately loved and asked him to get printed for me. Here is a little video of the un-crating of this magnificent piece of wall art.

If you have some room in your home or office for museum quality photography I highly encourage you to contact Trey and just make it happen. He’s one of the most accommodating artists you could ever want to meet, so just give him an idea what you’re looking to do and he’ll take good care of you. Here is his page that lists current hdr prints, but keep in mind that as long as you have the budget I’m sure he’ll make any piece available for you.

Are you an art fan? I am a total freak when it comes to art. It’s amazing how I see people now taking art as an investment just like buying silver, gold, etc. However, for me investing in art is more of an interest. I usually end up at a lot of places where the art paintings are much more than what I can afford. Especially when it comes to abstract art. Abstract art is where the painter just flows into his mind; I find it real creative stuff.

Looks awesome, the packaging seems heavier then the picture frame.

It looks like a print from:

I ordered one of my HDR’s – (http://bit.ly/9k6f55) a little over 3 feet across and the company did a spectacular job! Their prints on aluminum are really amazing. Had a little hiccup with my photo but they corrected the problem quickly and with minimal issues.

If you have a favorite photo and can afford the cost it makes for an amazing piece.

Nice! Thanks for the video, it was fun to watch the unveiling and hanging of this beautiful photo. Would you mind sharing who printed this on the metal? It’s a great way to showcase Trey’s work.

Wow, that looks amazing!!! That’s one of my favorite shots too.

And John, well hung. (I bet you’ve never heard someone say that to you before, huh?)

Wow! I’m amazed at the quality of the packaging and the metal. Where did you get it printed? I love canvas, but I’ve been wanting a metal piece for my home. I know mpix does metal work but I havn’t looked at the sizes. I know that piece you’ve got wasn’t cheap and I believe that it will only increase in value.

Your video is what pushes me everyday! Treys art is an inspiration but your love of the shot and art, putting up the work in your home is why I continue. Wicked video man.

    Wow, that picture is stunning.

I love the colors, so dark and rich, the glow of the lights. Would be such an amazing place to stroll through.

Thanks for sharing this, made my morning.
