Ok folks, I’ve been a little slow in getting this out, but before I leave on my weeklong trek to the Indy 500 I wanted to get the announcement out about the iPad contest winner!
Congrats to Mishaal Al Gergawi from Dubai! He lives in a place I would very much like to visit one of these days, but in the meantime I shall just have to send my iPad instead.
Um, can I just stop to point out that Mishaal has one of the coolest freakin profile photos in the universe? He kind of looks like an Arabic James Bond. He’s a good looking guy with this look like, “I’m trying to decide if I should kill you, or let you into my inner circle.” By the way, I have GOT to get me an outfit like that. Except that my pasty white skin probably wouldn’t work. Maybe I can get it in black?
Anyway, thanks to Mishaal for entering my little Twitter contest! And the iPad is ON THE WAY!
Hmmm. You know, since I’m going to Indianapolis, I believe that I’m going to pick up a little something while I’m there and give it away to one of you guys. Let’s see… travel can get kind of lonely, so all you have to do to possibly win whatever I find is participate in my Indy 500 discussions. That is so cool that it is going all the way to Dubai!!! I tell ya, I just love the internet, don’t you? Not sure I’ll ever ‘really’ get over it. To my kids, it just is, you know? But the global connections so easily accessible is forever fascinating to me!
I did some blog posts about Dubai a few years ago, and since, have been keenly interested in traveling there someday. Very interesting place!!
