You say you’re sick of those tiny little Maglite’s excuse for illumination, and the Surefires just aren’t cutting it for you anymore? Well, perhaps its time you stepped up and got yourself a real man’s flashlight!
What makes this flashlight so powerful? A few things. First, there’s some batteries. And not just a few, but 12 1.2V NiMH (rechargable) batteries capable of sustained 10 amp draws. They’re in a nice, heavy duty battery carrier that can withstand the load as well.

Well, I guess it was only a matter of time before someone figured out that a belt buckle is about the perfect spot to hang an Ipod. So, the folks over at NerdyShirts.com have apparantly put the trained monkeys to work on this project.
The belt buckles come in sizes ranging from the Ipod Nano to the Ipod Video. They can be had with ($30), or without the actual belt ($30).

Ok. I’m man enough to admit it. I’ve got no idea how this works…
Select Solar (over in the UK) is selling a desk clock that apparently uses nothing but water to power the digital readout. You fill a couple of tubes with tap water and then it just works for about two months.
If anyone can explain the principles in use here, please do so as the site doesn’t say exactly how this is accomplished.

If there weren’t enough things to be paranoid about already, manufacturers continue to release more and more “ethically challenged” pieces of surveillance equipment.
The latest is a Shower Mirror Radio wireless camera. It uses a two-way mirror and broadcasts wirelessly in full color to the pervert next door.

I’ve got to give it up to the designers of this Aluminum tray. Although their English is atrocious, their ingenuity is to be admired. In fact, I think this is one of those “why didn’t anyone think of that before” inventions.

“The New Zero Blaster launches 2 to 4 inch diameter non-toxic fog rings that sail up to twelve feet. Easy to use, it is a great stress buster and with practice you’ll be able to create bigger and better rings.”

If you golf like I do, and considering the cost of some good balls, this gadget will probably save you more money than it costs in just a few rounds.
The ballfinder scout is basically a specialized digital camera which is trained to recognize a white ball so long as at least 3 dimples are visible. Just point it at the area you suspect your ball to be and it will home in on it like a radar.

Yesterday I purchased a new Garmin Nuvi 660 portable GPS receiver to use in my new vehicle. So far, I’m going to have to give this little unit a rating of 8.5 out of 10.
Things that are fantastic about this unit:

Who comes up with these things? These little somewhat sentient stick figures interact with one another when you places their cubes together.
Apparently they can even roam from one cube to another when you stack them all up. Here is a description from the site:

Those who know me, know that I support the unrestricted development of all new technology. I don’t care if it’s medical, computational, military or any other. Almost all new technology can be used for good or evil, so it’s up to society to determine what is or is not acceptable, and what does or does not need to be regulated.
Take for example the Global Positioning System. This network of satellites encircling the globe has enabled the US military to carry out targeted operations, ensuring military dominance while also sparing civilian lives. GPS also enables civilians a previously unmatched freedom to navigate, measure, map and otherwise understand our surroundings.
The most recent technological innovation involves combining GPS with wireless networking (such as cellular connectivity) to allow businesses, governments and individuals to track goods being transported or even employees or family members.
