3 Card Poker Rules and Strategy

0

3 Card PokerIn keeping with my ongoing theme of posting casino games, I present for your entertainment the classic 3 Card Poker! (Don’t forget we’ve also got Blackjack and Roulette.)

3 Card Poker (or tri-card poker as it’s also called) is an American version of a British game called Brag. This game originated over three hundred years ago as a game known as Primero, a fast-moving betting game using only three cards. As the game evolved, it became known as Post-and-Pair and then again as Brag. This game made it to the States as Casino Brag and Brit-Brag, but eventually evolved again into the game we now know as 3 Card Poker.

The game is comprised of two different components and here is how they are played…

Online Roulette Game and Basic Roulette Strategy

0

RouletteRoulette is a casino and gambling game named after the French word meaning “small wheel”. In the game a croupier spins a wheel in one direction, then spins a ball in the opposite direction around a tilted circular surface running around the circumference of the wheel. The ball eventually falls on to the wheel and into one of 37 (in European roulette) or 38 (in American roulette) colored and numbered pockets on the wheel.

Albert Einstein is reputed to have stated, “You cannot beat a roulette table unless you steal money from it.” And indeed he was mathematically correct. Roulette is an absolute game of chance in which the house odds are stacked from 2-5% against you. Still, the little game I’ve embedded here is awfully fun to play!

ScoobyDoo Escape From the Coolsonian

0

ScoobyDoo Escape From the CoolsonianOk, here is an unusual game to amuse you guys on this fine Friday. Scooby Doo and the Escape from the Coolsonian is a cartoonish, mystery, adventure game. You have to solve clues to advance to the next stage of the game, and it’s challenging enough for kids or adults.

In case you get stuck and frustrated, you can ask the game for a hint and it’ll help you cheat keep going. So, there are about 4 levels and it took me nearly an hour to complete them without actually cheating.

Amazing Rube Goldberg Machine and Game!

0

Rube Goldberg MachineThis video is as cool, or possibly even better, than my previous post on Incredible Japanese Kinetic Machines.

In this video, the creators of this Rube Goldberg machine (a machine that performs a simple task in a complex way) have woven the kinetic reactions all over an entire house!

As it weaves it’s way throughout I can’t help to wonder if someone’s mom is about to come home and freak out at what the kids did when the parents were out of town or something (like with the 60 foot slip-n-slide).

Mile High Mini Golf Game

0

Mile High Club Mini GolfIn keeping with the tradition of bringing you amusing little time wasting games lately, I found this totally unique little mini-golf game.

The object is to hit your golf ball onto the floating green with the flag on it. In the process you have to play through other floating platforms that might contain sand traps, or other obstacles.

Tanks, the Game!

0

Tank GameOk, the best thing about this game is that you can actually play multi-player against a friend – or you can go head to head with the computer. In addition, each time you win a battle you accumulate points which you can use to upgrade your tank with everything from weapons to armor.

I found this game to be so addictive that I played it for hours straight. So, if you get started you might as well write off the rest of the day because your productivity is going to be shot! (No pun intended.)

Mahjong Solitaire and the Mahjong Strategy

0

MahjongDid you know there is actually a difference between Mahjong (also spelled mahjongg, mah-jong, or mah-jongg) and Mahjong Solitaire? Mahjong is actually a 4 player game involving skill, strategy, calculation, and luck; while Mahjong solitaire is a tile matching, single player game.

‘Mah-jong’ can be translated from Chinese as ‘clattering sparrow’, ‘flax sparrow’ or possibly as ‘hemp bird’. The tiles when shuffled make a melodious noise reminiscent of the noise of numerous sparrows squabbling over scattered food crumbs.

Since many of us are addicted to this little game, I thought I’d put it up here in case we are ever away from our computer but have access to an Internet connection that way we can hustle on over here and get a fix! (Get to it already!)

The Jesus Illusion

0

The Jesus IllusionHold on, hold on. Before everyone goes and gets all upset with me, this is not a jab at Christianity. It’s actually an illusion that features Jesus!

You might need to stare at the lines for a few minutes, but after a little while you’ll begin to see the outline of a figure. I found it helpful to actually step away from the monitor to really see the image pop out.

Ms. Pacman – The Arcade Classic

0

Ms. PacmanIn continuation of our “Arcade Classics” theme week here on OMB, and by specific request from Lisa Marie, I bring you the classic Ms. Pacman!

This game is actually pretty good, though as I recall after you get past each 2 levels the maze used to change, and on this reproduction it doesn’t seem to. But everything else is pretty good so it’s definitely an amusing little time waster.
