Video: Baby Gets Spooned

Kids really do the cutest and some of the strangest things. From the things that they say and do, no matter how simple or how complex. For instance, here’s my youngest daughter last year being cute acting like a Cowgirl:

But this video below is by far one of the cutest videos I have seen of a baby being totally random and getting a spoon stuck in a very unusual place. Yes folks, this baby had a spoon stuck in its diaper right towards its behind!

Moments like this with our children are truly priceless. They really do grow up fast. So the next time your baby gets spooned, or is riding their horsey, just remember before you know it, they will be graduating high school and having your grandchildren :)

2 Week Old Elephant Playing in a Baby Pool

This little (figuratively speaking) baby elephant is named Baylor, and he lives at the Houston Zoo. When he was two weeks old the elephant care team got him a little baby pool and let him take his first bath.

As you can see, he kind of liked it! After he got a little older they let him hop in the the big pool, but this was a good way to let him have some fun and get adjusted before going into the deep end.

Cute Overdose of the Day: Cookie the Happy Little Penguin

Cookie is a “Little Penguin” and the mascot of the Zoo Bird House at the Cincinnati Zoo. Apparently he REALLY likes to be tickled… Enjoy!

Sam the Koala Rescued After Australian Bush Fires

sam-the-koalaI first learned about this heart touching story over on The Australian. It seems that a group of fire fighters, who had been battling a massive raging inferno, responsible for killing at least 180 people, came upon a dehydrated and injured little Koala in a burned out area of the forest.

One of the firemen, Dave, got some water and approached the animal to try and care for it. Amazingly, she accepted his help, and he was able to give her 3 bottles of water. This story ends well, although as many as one million animals are suspected to have perished in the blaze.

Those Crazy Fainting Goats

Fainting GoatsThere is a specific breed of goat that “faints” whenever it gets startled. It is a breed of domestic goat whose external muscles freeze for roughly 10 seconds when the goat is startled.

Though painless, this generally results in the animal collapsing on its side with the side effect of everyone around laughing their asses off.
The characteristic is caused by a hereditary genetic disorder called myotonia congenita. Older goats sometimes learn to lean against something to prevent their falling over, and often they continue to run about in an awkward, stiff-legged shuffle.
