A company is Germany has developed what they claim to be one of the most innovative, world-changing, technologies of all time. “Liquid Glass” is a product that supposedly can be applied to almost anything, and which coats the surface with a 100 nanometer thick layer of flexible, breathable, glass. Oh, and its completely harmless and even safe to use around food.

Think about this for a minute. You know how easy it is to clean a window? Now imagine your carpet was that easy to clean! You could spray this stuff on everything from shower walls, to car parts, to coffee cups, shoes and kitchen knives. How about lining the concrete surface of a swimming pool with it before filling it with water?

Since they claim the coating is heat resistant to 450 degrees Celsius (842 degrees Fahrenheit), you could actually coat your grill with it, or the engine of your car, to keep them shiny and clean since they are exposed outdoors. I guess you could also treat most cookware since they rarely get used above that temperature.

The Coolest Photo Technology I’ve Ever Seen!

PhotosynthFolks, this is big!!! If you really investigate just one post on my blog, make it this one! It’s not often that I’m completely blown away by a new application, but the new Photosynth technology preview is the most groundbreaking advance in digital photography since… well, digital photography.

Photosynth reminds me of a scene from the movie Blade Runner. Some of you may recall the scene where Harrison Ford’s character is sitting in front of a screen examining a photo and he is able to “move around” in what appears to be a two dimensional space. Well, that’s the closest thing that I can describe to what we’ve got here.
