I was so amazed at what I’m about to share here that I struggled for some time to come up with the right title. Other titles I considered:

I’m sure everyone knows that Albert Einstein invented electricity after being hit on the head with an apple while flying a kite…No, that was Franklin who discovered gravity… er, Newton who flew a kite…
Well anyway, we’ve all heard the warnings not to fly a kite near power lines. But does anyone really know why not? Well, if these videos don’t convince you feel free to prove Darwin correct and go fly a kite!
Some of those power lines may be carrying 4,000 times the energy of a typical household socket. Witness now what can happen when something goes wrong…

In the developed world, we take for granted little things like electricity. But in April 2006 PC World ran an article entitled Save Money by Putting Your PC on a Power Diet. Here are a few of the choice excerpts:
