Man, those guys in the infomercials could sell the proverbial ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves! But the real question is, did she enjoy it after she got it?
Well, InfomercialRatings.com is here to answer that question. Now, you’ve got to use some common sense when evaluating the ratings here and really read through them.
I found that many of the “reviews” seemed so positive and professionally written that they could only have come from the marketing departments of the product manufacturers themselves. The main weakness of their system lies in the fact that there are no user login and ratings functions, like for example eBay or IMDB.

So, someone gave you a new iPhone, IPod video, Creative Zen Vision, Archos PVR or other fancy device for the holiday and now you need to know how to copy your DVDs to it so you can take them with you?
Or maybe you didn’t get one of those, but you’d like to load a few movies onto your laptop for when you travel? I also encountered these issues so, after wasting almost two entire days searching for a simple guide and installing at least 10 different programs, I finally decided on two different methods to share. I hope this saves someone else countless hours wasted.

You say you’re sick of those tiny little Maglite’s excuse for illumination, and the Surefires just aren’t cutting it for you anymore? Well, perhaps its time you stepped up and got yourself a real man’s flashlight!
What makes this flashlight so powerful? A few things. First, there’s some batteries. And not just a few, but 12 1.2V NiMH (rechargable) batteries capable of sustained 10 amp draws. They’re in a nice, heavy duty battery carrier that can withstand the load as well.

Well, I guess it was only a matter of time before someone figured out that a belt buckle is about the perfect spot to hang an Ipod. So, the folks over at NerdyShirts.com have apparantly put the trained monkeys to work on this project.
The belt buckles come in sizes ranging from the Ipod Nano to the Ipod Video. They can be had with ($30), or without the actual belt ($30).

Ok. I’m man enough to admit it. I’ve got no idea how this works…
Select Solar (over in the UK) is selling a desk clock that apparently uses nothing but water to power the digital readout. You fill a couple of tubes with tap water and then it just works for about two months.
If anyone can explain the principles in use here, please do so as the site doesn’t say exactly how this is accomplished.

If there weren’t enough things to be paranoid about already, manufacturers continue to release more and more “ethically challenged” pieces of surveillance equipment.
The latest is a Shower Mirror Radio wireless camera. It uses a two-way mirror and broadcasts wirelessly in full color to the pervert next door.

I’ve got to give it up to the designers of this Aluminum tray. Although their English is atrocious, their ingenuity is to be admired. In fact, I think this is one of those “why didn’t anyone think of that before” inventions.

If my brother and I had these as kids we’d have worn them out in no time.
The Shocking Tanks are remote controlled vehicles that can actually shoot at one another, and when one is hit the remote control delivers a mild (or not so mild, depending on the settings) shock to the operator.

Every car built since 1996 has a diagnostic computer connection under the dash called an OBD-II which allows mechanics to plug in and find out what that annoying red light on the dash is trying to tell you. Of course, getting a mechanic to plug in and tell you what’s wrong will probably cost you at least $100.
