I love to watch acrobats doing all sorts of amazing things, like Parkour and martial arts… but I’ve never seen one person bring so much together as Damien Walters. He is absolutely amazing!
This guy can jump in one spot and do crazy flips, he can run literally up walls, he can to high flying acrobatics – and when he’s done with all that, it looks like he could kick some serous ass. Now, that’s what I’M talking about! Let’s get it on!

What is the easiest way to define Parkour? How about this. The world, is literally, your playground.
Now, Wikipedia defines Parkour as follows:
Parkour (sometimes also abbreviated to PK) or l’art du déplacement (English: the art of movement) is an activity with the aim of moving from one point to another as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body. It is meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment—from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls—and can be practiced in both rural and urban areas. Parkour practitioners are referred to as traceurs, or traceuses for females.
It’s also known as Free Running, but if you really want to understand what it’s all about, you just have to see it in action.

Here’s a little 6 minute video of Adam Menzies, a gymnast, that begins with a whole boatload of trampoline action. This guy is flipping around like crazy, but the funny thing is that he makes it look like the easiest thing in the universe. I mean, he can’t even be breaking a sweat!
Of course, if I were to try any one of these moves not only would I break a sweat, I’d probably also break my neck.
Adam is currently a member of the Canadian National Team for Double Mini Trampoline. He has been training in trampoline, double-mini, and power tumbling since 1998 and is quickly rising internationally. .Adam trains at Flip City Gymnastics in Langley, British Columbia under the guidance of Former 2 time National Champion, Rusty Pierce.

I’ve seen a lot of really kick ass acrobatics, but I’ve never seen a compilation like this before! According to the description:
This video shows the 5 different disciplines of sports acrobatics. This videos were recorded 2006 at the world championships of sports acrobatics in Coimbra/Portugal.
But all I can say is that even after watching Kristina Kireeva the contortionist, the Urban Ninjas, the incredible World Class Breakdancers and Chloe Bruce’s Martial Arts – there is stuff here that you won’t see anywhere else!

I came across this video labeled “The worlds most flexible woman” about Kristina Kireeva. I’m not sure exactly how you would measure flexibility, but I am sure that no one could possibly beat her by much!
Here is an interview with Kristina conducted by CircusLand that sheds light on a few details. Kristina began training at the age of 12 and comes from an entire family of circus performers! Her mother, father and brother are all in the circus.

Anyone that thinks that break dancing died in the 80’s is seriously mistaken.
These guys are serious athletes and are elevating break dancing to a whole new level. I’m wondering if these are the same guys that are doing all of the insane gymnastic-like karate moves..

These are… AWESOME! What’s better than seeing a bunch of guys risking life and limb to flip around like a monkey / acrobat / ninja / gymnast? And seriously, there are a few scenes here in which they are REALLY risking their life…
By the way, this is actually a sport. It’s called Parkour, and people all over the world are jumping around treating the world as a public playground. Enjoy!
