About a week and a half ago Amber Mac and Leo Laporte were kind enough to have me on the net@night show to discuss Woopra.
We had a great time and they were very gracious hosts. I’m embedding the audio podcast from the show below, although we did do the show live and there was actual video demonstration taking place at the time. Needless to say Leo and Amber were very enthusiastic about Woopra, and we’ll be getting it installed on their sites very soon.
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
If you skip to around the 35 minute mark you should jump in where I’m coming on the show. But you could also listen to the whole thing because Leo and Amber are actually entertaining. :-)

Last week Esteban Contreras had me on the SocialNerdia show to talk about everything under the sun, including Woopra, blogging, business and personal philosophies. Below is the embedded podcast for your listening pleasure, but you can also find all of Esteban’s show notes right here.
Thanks again to Esteban for a rousing line of questioning and just a generally good time! And make sure you subscribe to SocialNerdia as he does a great job creating unique and valuable content.

The boys from Barats and Bereta, Joe and Luke, scored some passes to the Sundance Film Festival where they applied their years of near-Emmy nominated performance skills to the task of interviewing the cast of the new movie In Bruges (Colin Ferell, Martin McDonagh, and Brendan Gleeson).
I’ve loved these guys, in an extremely manly sort of way, ever since they put out the mother’s day video that reminded me of my dear childhood.

David Hamilton of Web Host Industry Review (theWHIR.com) and I had a nice little e-mail conversation about the lecture I’ll be giving next week at HostingCon in Chicago. It’s live now if any of you guys would like to take a look.
July 23, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Utility hosting services provider Layered Tech (layeredtech.com) chief marketing officer John Pozadzides says the “new world order” is coming and when it does, “every business is either a ‘Web’ business or a dead business.”
Pozadzides will deliver the presentation “Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining” at HostingCon 2008, where he will be among the biggest names and brightest minds in web hosting who will converge in Chicago for three days of networking and workshops.
You can find the full interview here.

For those of you who were unable to watch the live show when Cali interviewed me at the John P. Hacienda, here you go! Cali was able to get the recording up, and even though I’m boring as hell, Cali is definitely worth watching!!!
If there is any problem with the embedded version you can also see it on Cali Live.

Hey gang, slight modification. We’ll be doing this live interview on Saturday at 2pm Texas time instead of the 3pm time I previously reported in error. Sorry about that!

So, if you want to join us, either click on Cali’s gorgeous picture above, or go here for all the details! Gee, that’s a hard choice huh…

Hey folks, on Saturday June 7, 2008 at 3pm Central time in the U.S. (-5 GMT) Cali Lewis and Neal Campbell will be coming by to live stream an interview with your’s truly. We’ll be chatting about chicken nuggets, quantum string theory, plasma torches and bikini waxes.
Well, maybe not. I actually have no idea what we are going to discuss! But what I do know is, if you stop by http://www.ustream.tv/calilewis/ you’ll be able to watch live, and if you click “Go to Show Details and chat”, you can choose a username (no password necessary) and join in the conversation.
I’ll be taking questions from anyone and everyone on religion, politics, abortion, war, famine, disease, and Michael Jackson. I might not answer any of those questions… but I’ll certainly take them! Otherwise, I imagine we’ll probably talk a little about Woopra, Layered Tech, OMB and other geeky stuff. So mark your calendar and come on by!

Bruce Barber, from the Real Life Survival Guide, recently interviewed me via phone for a segment on Password Security. That segment will go live today on Connecticut Public Radio, so I’d like to welcome any visitors stopping by as a result.
For the rest of us that don’t happen to live in Connecticut, here is the interview as graciously provided by Bruce.
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
As further reading on the topic of password security, please see my complete article on How I’d Hack Your Weak Passwords. And if you are looking for the password manager I referred to called Roboform I created a short RoboForm Demonstration Video to get you started.
You’ll also find over 30 other related articles in the Security category.
For the regulars around here, you really should stop by Bruce’s site and listen to his other interviews (he’s even got an RSS feed to subscribe to). There are a lot of great tips, and he is a true professional so these are high quality audio clips. Believe me, if it weren’t for the magic of Bruce’s editing prowess mine wouldn’t have been very good!

I spoke with two of the founders of craigsnumber via phone as a follow up to my previous review of the service. Here are the notes from our phone call. The gentlemen I spoke to preferred to remain anonymous so I will refer to them as CN.
CN: From a legal standpoint we are currently in a “quite period” so we’ll share what we can, but it may be limited out of necessity.
