The_Monkees.jpgIf you said “The Beatles”, you’re wrong! But I don’t blame you because people mix them up quite often.

In reality, it was The Monkees who sang the original “I’m a Believer” back in 1966. Not to be confused with Smash Mouth’s remake in 2001 for the movie Shrek - which I incidentally think was a great remake of the song.

During the period from 1966-1970 The Monkees hit the Bilboard Top 100 at least 20 times with songs like Daydream Believer, Last Train to Clarksville, and I’m Not Your Steppin’ Stone.
