Robyn TippinsFor those of you that run your own Blogs and who would like to one day create your own videos Robyn Tippins, my friend and partner in managing the MyBlogLog User Group, has created a nice little tutorial just for you!

Lots of trial and error led to really learning my video editing software. However, rather than re-inventing the wheel, I thought I’d take a few minutes to show you an easy way to make your own videos and upload them for viewing on the web.

My Public Application for a MyBlogLog Job

MyBlogLog LetterDear Eric,

On January 30, 2007 you mentioned that MyBlogLog was seeking a community manager. You described the role as follows:

“Based on customer emails, the community manager will develop a comprehensive faq, oversee a community-based help system (either a wiki or a bulletin board, you will help us decide) and advise the team on ways to improve MyBlogLog.

Lastly, the community manager be an active and vocal participant in the world inside and outside of MyBlogLog.com, spurring conversations, mediating disputes and just generally building kharma by making the world a better place.”

Well since I haven’t heard any progress with regards to this much needed role, here I am. But before we go on, make no mistake about it I don’t want the job. I just want the job to be done. Philosophically speaking, that makes me the best candidate. ( As Socrates reasoned, “And those who govern ought not to be lovers of the task? For, if they are, there will be rival lovers, and they will fight.” )

New MyBlogLog Yahoo Discussion Group

MyBlogLog User GroupAs a card carrying member of the MyBlogLog fan club (see my right sidebar) I’ve enjoyed the social aspects of the service, but lately when I had some issues/ideas and wanted to give a little feedback I came to realize there was really no forum for discussing things about MyBlogLog in public.

Well, since I know the good folks at MyBlogLog are busy actually improving the service for us all, I figured we could take care of that little open communication problem ourselves and relieve them of the burden.

So, if you’ve ever longed to give feedback, constructive criticism, or praise about MyBlogLog, please come and join the MyBlogLog User Group.
