Black Q45I’ve got a Q45. Actually, more correctly, I’ve owned four Q45s. My first was a 1993, the first generation, with 278 horsepower. It was the luxury car that defined sport and it was unique and a class leader. My next was a 1997. I enjoyed it, although it was less edgy and didn’t seem as fast. But then came my real love… the 2002. The last generation of Q45, and definitely the finest. My current Q, a 2004 model, is from the same generation and with just a couple of extra features not previously available on the ‘02.

My other car is an NSX, so it should make sense that even when I choose a big, old-man, luxury vehicle it’s gonna still be a tech-laden hot rod. And that is exactly what the Q45 is. Although they currently aren’t producing the Q45, the rumor is that they are developing the next generation currently. Meanwhile, you can pick up fantastic deals on low mileage used models - if you can find an owner willing to give theirs up!

Excellent Acura NSX Compilation Video

The Man's NSXMany of you know that one of my vehicles is an Acura NSX. Have I mentioned lately that I love my car? Yes, every single time I drive it is as great as the first.

Anyway, I came across this excellent compilation video so I decided that I’d share it.

My Next Car? Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

Lamborghini Gallardo SpyderOk. Maybe I won’t be plopping down $200k for one of these any time soon, but I must say that I’ve never seen a car magazine test reviewer so enamored with any vehicle. Ever.

Check out the video to see what I mean.

NSX Journey Home - Day 3, The Grand Canyon

NSX at the Grand CanyonToday turned out to be double the journey I had originally planned as I ended up cramming two day’s worth of driving into one. This will have the effect of shortening the overall trip home by one day, but also make for two very long hard back to back days.

But I’m not complaining! I’m driving an NSX across the country and seeing totally cool stuff!

NSX in DesertToday began the second leg of my journey from San Francisco back to Dallas. I started in Bakersfield, CA with a destination of Las Vegas. The trip was roughly a five hour journey, not including stops. Incidentally, I’m averaging 24.5 MPG with cruise control mainly set around 77-80 MPH. Not bad for a 170 mile-per-hour supercar.

The NSX Begins the Journey Home

IMG_0063.JPGToday was a long day, but well worth it. I flew from Big “D” to San Francisco to meet the newest member of the family for the first time, my new NSX. Brandee was kind enough to actually pick me up at the San Jose airport and we had a nice ride back to San Francisco together.

After taking care of business, Brandee said her farewells to her baby, and I took possession. Today was the first time I had ever sat, ridden in, or driven an NSX, so read on for my first impressions…

One Man Gets a New NSX!

NSXI am pleased to announce that I will soon be picking up my newly acquired 1993 black Acura NSX which I am purchasing from a long time member of the NSX Prime group named Brandee. The car is in San Francisco, but I’ll be meeting Brandee a week from today to pick it up and drive it back to Dallas.

For those of you not intimately familiar with the NSX, don’t worry… most people wouldn’t even be able to tell a Ferrari 308 from a Lamborghini Diablo because all of these cars are handmade in such limited quantities and you rarely see them in person.

So, allow me to take a little time to introduce you to the world’s only Japanese Supercar, the Acura NSX.

All I Want for Christmas… Toyota Volta

Toyota Volta
Why does Toyota torment me like this? They build the coolest, most beautiful concept car on the planet and then refuse to manufacture it. Someone should be shot!

Seriously, I’d take the very first one of these to roll off an assembly line if they would just build it. And I MEAN that. Jim Press (President of Toyota North America), I’ll have your check waiting the moment you hand me the keys!
