In light of the fact that shortly I’ll be boarding a plane to San Francisco to serve as the official videographer for WordCamp once again this weekend, I thought I’d share this fantastic airline video of the Rapping SouthWest flight attendant!

Weird Al completely rocks. Here’s Al’s parody of Lose Yourself from Eminem’s 8 Mile album and movie.

As I mentioned previously, I attended WordCamp San Francisco 2008 a week ago, and it’s taken me a few days to transfer the videos from tape into the computer. At this point I’m beginning to do the editing, so I’ll start putting out a string of videos (in no particular order). To get us started we’ve got Chuck Lewis, the SEO Rapper aka Poetic Prophet.

You’ll remember Chuck from my previous post about The Poetic Prophet. He’s very cool, he knows his shizzle about SEO, and he can rap. What more do you want? Ok. How about an a Capella world premier of the WordPress rap, and an interview with Matt Mullenweg!

Look, any time you’ve got a character in an advertisement named T-Bone it’s an indicator of things to come. But after the first 7 minutes of brutally bad acting and terrible story line the good news is that you are treated to a horrible rap song about Windows 386!

Seriously. If you can sit through this entire 12 minute promotional video without your head exploding I’ll be very impressed. It’s just sooo bad. I only finished it myself as an experiment to make sure I wouldn’t kill any of you by actually exposing you to this crap.

I don’t know why some of you were so surprised by my recent post of 20 Old Skool rap videos! All I can think of is that you must not have caught my own personal rendition of Snoop Dogg’s Sensual Seduction.

Ok, so this one is a little different. I think there is value in expanding horizons so I’m sharing this extremely talented yet uncategorizable musician. Matisyahu is a Hasidic Jewish reggae, rap artist, and frankly he is very good. Good enough in fact that Sting performed with him in Israel!

Here he is doing a song called Jerusalem on Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel. If you take a few minutes to listen to it I’d be really surprised if you don’t find it extremely interesting. Matisyahu definitely doesn’t live up to any pre-concieved notions and perhaps there is a lesson to be learned there…
