Ok. I know I said I was done with the political commentary, but this little gem from Matt Damon is just way, way too funny not to share.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Matt is not likely to actually vote for Sarah. Not entirely sure, but it may be when he said:
“I really need to know if she thinks dinosaurs were here 4,000 years ago. That’s an important… I wanna know that, I really do. Because she’s gonna have the nuclear codes.”

Since we’re in the process of selecting not only the new leaders of the United States, but also the new leaders of the Free World, I wanted to do a little research on their educational backgrounds. Personally I view wisdom as an important trait in a leader, and there can be no wisdom without knowledge. It also seems to me that humans have basically always universally held this belief, as we even see evidence dating back to Plato’s Republic in which the Guardians of the state required strict educational training.
I then decided that we should include the Vice Presidential candidates in the research because, after all, they are next in line for succession to the Presidency in case something terrible happens. On top of that, the Vice President of the United States is also the President of the US Senate. So, they’ve got one hell of an important job either way.

As we consider the election of the next President of the United States, lets not forget that their Vice Presidential running mate, in this case Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Joe Biden, stand a 1 in 3 chance of eventually becoming president.
This is especially true in the case of John McCain given the fact that he’d be the oldest person to ever take office, were he elected. And in case you haven’t noticed, Obama is half-black and there are some crazies running around who might not take kindly to a non-white President either.

Ok. This scares the crap out of me! Sarah Palin’s church, Wasilla Assembly of God, apparently has created the Master’s Commission: Wasilla Alaska which is some kind of… um, I don’t know what to call it… cult? And for the record, she was baptized in this church at age 12 and attended it for most of her adult life. As I understand it, when she was inaugurated as governor, the founding pastor of the church delivered the invocation.
Anyway, no need to guess as to what is being preached, luckily all of the sermons are online so you can spend as much time listening as you please.
According to one anonymous person, you’ll hear the following if you listen to them (heck, I’m not gonna do it):
Anyway, ignoring all of that, just watch the promotional video for their “intense discipleship training program”:

Wow. Here is a very interesting letter about Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin (yeah, you know, the hot one!) from a person who’s known her for a long time. I literally spent about 10 hours researching this and added some emphasis, hyperlinks and photos within the letter. The emphasis is for things which kind of jumped out at me, the hyperlinks are obviously so that facts can be verified, and I just like photos.
After going through this letter with a fine tooth comb, I’m personally astonished by two things:
I can’t wait to hear everyone’s opinions about this letter. Though I’d bet money that it’s not going to change anyone’s minds. I’m willing to bet that the Republicans will support her simply because she’s on the Republican ticket (plus the fact that she’s like the mean cheerleader from high-school who you either love or fear), and that the Democrats will hate her for exactly the same reasons. So, if this letter actually does change anyone’s opinions please drop a comment below and let me know.
By the way, before you read all of this, you must listen to this NPR audio interview with Anne Kilkenny. This is not a lady who was looking for attention. She doesn’t even know what a blog is! (PS – she’s still on a dial-up connection in Alaska!)

Who is Sarah Palin? Well, in addition to being the presumptive Vice Presidential candidate for John McCain’s Presidential run in 2008, and the Governor of Alaska, she’s a hottie.
Palin attended Wasilla High School in Wasilla, Alaska, where she was the head of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at the school and the point guard and captain of the school’s basketball team. She helped the team win the Alaska small-school basketball championship in 1982, hitting a critical free throw in the last seconds of the game, despite having an ankle stress fracture at the time. She earned the nickname “Sarah Barracuda” because of her intense play and was the leader of team prayer before games.

All you hear about on the news today is Obama’s racist preacher this… and Obama’s preacher that…
Well, I don’t like to trust the mainstream media to do my interpreting for me. No sir, as Stephen Colbert likes to point out, the mainstream media is way too focused on “truthiness”, and I don’t like to be all weighed down with “facts”. That’s why I like to turn to the Red State Update, to get my news from Jackie and Dunlap!
