For those of you who haven’t tried ooVoo yet, I highly recommend you do so! ooVoo is a video conferencing application like Skype, only much, much better! If you have friends, relatives or colleagues across the country or world you wish to talk to, you simply can’t do better than ooVoo.
I’ve run it on all of my Windows machines with no issue, and it works great. But today I had difficulty trying to install it on my MacBook Pro. However, thanks to Elliott Lee, I managed to solve the problem. So, I figured I’d pass along the solution as well.

There is a new site, that I find to be very cool, called Anothr.com which offers the unique service of sending you Skype messages when your favorite blogs are updates.
Although its in English, this is a Chinese site and the page sometimes loads slowly (though it’s been getting better). Luckily you don’t have to deal with that very often considering that they are simply going to push notification of your favorite blog posts to you via Skype; and frankly, this is simply not a delay sensitive service. If your notification comes a few minutes late… so what?

It’s amazing how much communication costs. If I add up my cellular bills, Internet bills and home phone service we’re looking at $250 a month! $3,000 a year is more than the average income of a family in 90% of the countries on earth. That is simply criminal!
Luckily, ever since the advent of the Internet those costs have been plummeting, and I would expect them to continue dropping until it costs almost nothing to talk to anyone, anywhere. (When wi-fi Internet has the same coverage as cellular networks all calls will be free!) For now, however, I’ve put together this handy little guide to help decrease the various costs associate with making phone calls.
